Grace Brooker

Grace re-joins the Matatu squad after the Inaugural 2022 season. Grace debuted for Canterbury in 2017 after a busy year also representing the women's seven side and New Zealand U18 sevens team. Following two strong seasons in red and black, Grace debuted for the Black Ferns against the Wallaroos at Eden Park in 2019. In 2021, she was selected in the Black Ferns tour of England and France where she gained her first start in the second test against England.

After a lengthy time off the field with a knee injury, Grace Brooker showed her undeniable resilience by returning to the rugby field for Matatū in 2023, winning Aupiki, and being selected for national honours once again in the PAC 4 series later that year.
