Matatū announces partnership with The Tannery for its inaugural season

History was made at Matatū’s season launch on Tuesday night, as the club’s inaugural jersey was revealed.

Designed by local artist and designer Morgan Mathews-Hale to reflect Matatū’s brand story and connection to Aoraki, three main elements of the jersey were explained at the event.

The inaugural Matatū Super Rugby Team came together last weekend to connect (tūhono) during their Foundation event, held from 29th - 30th of January.

The highly-anticipated Sky Super Rugby Aupiki draw has been released today by New Zealand Rugby, and will see Matatū host their inaugural match against the Hurricanes at Orangetheory Stadium on Sunday 6th March, at the kick off time of 3:45pm.

Matatū Head Coach Blair Baxter said it is exciting to know the first time Matatū take the field will be on home soil.
