Winnie Palamo comes into the Matatū side with bags of raw talent. In only her second year playing rugby, Palamo has an incredible ability to read the game, plus a stunning turn of pace which made her a headache for opposing defenders in FPC last year.

Palamo is a talented multi-sport athlete, playing netball (attending some New Zealand development camps) and competing in the 100m, long jump and shot-put at Canterbury secondary schools level.
